A GOOD YEAR

Plot sumarry:

After years of no communication with his Uncle Henry, London banker and binding trader Max Skinner learns that Henry has died intestate, so Max inherits a cheteau and vineyard in Provence. Max dead beat section of his immaturity there, acquirements maxims and how to come first and misla, and honing his butcher feeling (at chess, which serves him well in finance). Max goes to France alert on selling the effect. He spends a scant days there, getting the capital primed to divulg. Memories, a delightfu chick, and a junior American who says she's Henry's unauthorized daughter break off his plans. Did Max the schoolboy experience things that Max the male adult has lost?
